Clara (the Lady Wolf) Landau is a gracious, inventive Knoxville,
Tennessee-based singer/songwriter/splitkeyboardist, who loves the blues.
She has several CDs in the marketplace.
The most recent album, entitled "Essence...the Lady Wolf", features
originals "Blues, Come and Get Me", "The Old White Wolf", "Lucky To Have
the Blues", "Boy Toy Blues", "If You Want A Mean Woman", "That's the Way
You Make Me Feel", along with several jazz tunes including "Catalyst",
"Don't Want No More Love", "Movin' Along", and "Love Changes Everything".
Clara did the art work and design for the CD, which she burns, to order,
on her computer. She grew up and performed as a child-artist in southern
New England, then migrated South in '87. With the expressive voice of her
namesake, she tantalizes with her vocals, all the while maintaining solid
bass lines and righthanded riffs on the keyboard.
Clara began playing piano at age 3, composed her first song at age 5
and plays in every key. No transpose key for her, she says. She's been
said to have the soul of an artist, the mind of a scientist, and the heart
of a romantic. Clara knows what it's like to live the blues...that's what
makes them so natural for her to write and perform. She doesn't talk about
them, but her feelings and experiences weave themselves through her songs
and, when she sings, she tells about it.
"Boy Toy Blues" is just what it says--but slightly exaggerated. It's
about a lady named "Womana". Now, Womana could really be any woman who
falls for a younger man, because society says we're not supposed to do
that.
Well, Womana follows her heart. 'Oh wo wo wo wo wo wo wo wo, Lovin'
every moment, but you know how these things go..." I wrote Womana's back-beat
story the day after I wrote sultry "If You Want A Mean Woman". They both
came from the same inspiration!"

Clara's music received international acclaim and has been featured
on radio in South Australia and Germany. She's received mail from Poland,
Greece, South Africa, Serbia, and France, requesting her CD's and sheet
music, though she has a limited number of opportunities to perform locally.
Clara is an ageless, classic study...whether she shows up with her long
blond hair in bound in pigtails or blowing in the breeze...but she is down-to-earth,
classy, and sincere. She's got a lot of music and heart to share. Clara
and the blues ... a delicious combination. ~ Wolf ... wild, wise, sleek,
swift ~ * Peace to all creatures *
