John, I saw your write up on Led Zeppelin and I hold the same or stronger feelings
towards them and their music. Some thing I would like to ad to your write up and
you might expand on it in your article in your own words or some of mine. Something
even more in your rating of the best rock band ever over "The Stones" and "The Beatles."
Neither of those bands music had the depth of feeling a etheric plane.....a Mysticism
that puts Led Zeppelin as you said in the Hendrix Level.....I like the Stones and Beatles
to.....but some of the Led Zeppelin songs are so intense in feelings and playing as to make
the Stones and Beatles looks like kids bands........and I say that with respect for them.
Your write up was very good...... respectfully.....gray
Hi Gray, I love what you wrote and would like to put
it under the article as your comments.
Is that ok with you?
Would you like your email or just name no email?
What's you address?
I'll send you something from Israel.
Hope to meet you someday.
take care,
Johnny
I would like to ad that the Led Zep I album was so intense with
its musical feelings, playing skills and lyrical message to this date
when I want to recalibrate myself their is only a few such CDs that
when my stereo is set to 8.5 volume.....400 watts RMS ...15 inch
JBL studio speakers....that actually send chills, its Led Zep 1.
During these personal recalibration at 1:00 AM in the morning for some reason
......I think back of the time when I got
my first got the Led Zep 1 CD and how at the time I really was not
the musician Iam now and what Im hearing has only gotten better in
time. To comprehend just what the hell Im hearing has take years.....to understand
the nuances, the harmonics, the warmth of the analog
tape machines they used....we are talking 1969 when it was released.
This is something of a heavenly in nature musical experience. You look at the Stones the Beatles the Who... Etc. and compare their first releases to the Led Zep 1 its light years ahead of them even now !!!!!! The only one that ties, kind of,
and is a few points behind is Hendrix's "Are you Experienced"
Hendrix's shining star was his second release "Axis Bold of Love", but
that was his second release....The Led Zeppelin 1 is one massive musical
experience to me.....and when the recalibration of your musical soul is needed it is still the one......only when listening to at volumes set to 7 or 8.5...............
My stereo puts out 120db and makes Led Zep 1 come to life which is a good thing
as long as you are not directly in front of speakers.....
grayson.........."active in the culture of musical corruption"
