Buddy Guy's wild blues guitar style with intense blues guitar licks and ear shattering volume captured the hearts of young blues rock guitar players. Among Buddy Guy's early fans was Jimmy Hendrix who credited Buddy Guy as one of his influences.

Together with Junior Wells, Buddy Guy turned on new generations of blues fans at blues concerts, blues jams and club dates.
